N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine
NAC is short for N-acetyl-L-cysteine, a form of the amino acid L-cysteine. It is a substance with numerous benefits for both the brain and the body.
Based on studies, there are several instances where NAC has been shown to assist in the treatment of health issues.

Antioxidant Action
NAC (N-acetylcysteine) is an excellent cytoprotective compound due to its well-established ability to restore levels of GSH (glutathione).
The primary role of NAC in vivo is to provide cysteine for the synthesis and secretion of GSH. It replenishes GSH levels in the body.
Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide with significant antioxidant activity in living organisms.
Brain
NAC (N-acetylcysteine) increases the availability of GSH (glutathione), reduces oxidative stress factors in the brain, and thus reduces cellular damage.
NAC supplementation has been shown to promote neurogenesis directly by increasing neuroprotective proteins, such as Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). It affects the inflammatory pathways and cytokine levels in both the peripheral and central nervous systems, which are linked to psychiatric disorders.
*Studies have shown that NAC helps in various neuropsychiatric disorders by reducing cytokine production and, consequently, the inflammatory response.
Lungs
An in vivo study involving 1,392 patients with chronic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) showed the following improvements in patient percentages:
Ingredients
Black Elderberry (Elderberry Fruit Extract)
The Elderberry plant (Sambucus nigra) is a rich source of proteins, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals. It contains highly biologically active compounds, mainly polyphenols, anthocyanins, and flavonoids.
*Numerous studies have demonstrated the antioxidant capacity, as well as the antibacterial, antiviral, and natural antidiabetic properties of the fruit.
Elderberry possesses medicinal properties associated with the presence of polyphenols with antioxidant effects. These can significantly impact disease progression by neutralizing oxidative stress, benefiting blood pressure, reducing glycemic index, and stimulating the immune system.
It contributes to:
- Strengthening the body’s defenses
- Treating respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma
- Nasal decongestion
- Improving heart function
Marshmallow Extract (Althaea officinalis)
Marshmallow, or Althaea, is an herb native to Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. It has been used for thousands of years to address digestive, respiratory, and skin conditions. The high mucilage content of marshmallow root makes it useful for treating coughs and colds.
*A study of an oral solution containing marshmallow, ivy leaf extract, thyme, and aniseed showed effective relief from coughs due to colds, bronchitis, or respiratory conditions with mucus formation. Within 12 days, all 62 participants experienced a 86% to 90% improvement in symptoms.
Vitamin C, D & Zinc
Vitamin C contributes to maintaining the normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise, protects cells from oxidative stress, and helps reduce fatigue and tiredness.
Vitamin D supports the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in the process of cell division.
Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function, normal DNA synthesis, normal immune system function, protects cells from oxidative stress, and plays a role in the process of cell division.
