For Nose Bleeding: 1) Lean forward and gently blow nose to clear any clots. Tear open a bleed cease sterile pack. Twist or fold the packing for easy insertion. 2) Insert the dressing all the way into the nasal cavity. If needed, moisten the nasal dressing with saline solution (NaCI at 0.9%) for easier insertion into small nasal cavities. 3) Keep the whole dressing for insertion – do not cut or pull apart. 4) Remove within 30 minutes by pinching between thumb and forefinger.
For Topical Bleeding: 1) Clean cut with soap and water or rinse with saline solution (NaCI at 0.9%). 2) Tear open a bleed dressing sterile pack. 3) Depending on size of cut and amount of bleeding: – Use the entire the dressing to cover the wound – Fold it in half and cover the wound. 4) Apply pressure with fingers to the covered wound for one minute or until bleeding stops before removing. Caution: If bleeding continues after removal, insert a second packing for another 30 minutes. If you leave the dressing overnight, moisten it with saline solution (NaCI at 0.9%) before removal. It is used to stop minor nasal or woud bleeding in adults and children.
